Description
ETHIBOND EXCEL™ Suture, Size 2/0, White, 36", SH Needle, is a sterile, nonabsorbable braided suture composed of polyester (polyethylene terephthalate) filaments. It is intended for general soft tissue approximation and ligation, including use in cardiovascular, ophthalmic, and neurological procedures. The braided structure ensures excellent pliability, flexibility, and strength for precise handling during suturing.
The suture is coated with polybutilate, a nonabsorbable and relatively nonreactive compound. This coating acts as a lubricant to improve the handling characteristics of the braided polyester, reducing tissue drag and enhancing knot security. The coating is highly adherent, ensuring it remains evenly distributed across the fiber throughout surgical use.
ETHIBOND EXCEL™ maintains its tensile strength over time, providing long-term wound support.
